No. We connect to your existing systems via their APIs and integration points. Banner, Canvas, Active Directory, M365 — all stay exactly as they are. We build the automation layer between them.
We've worked with Banner 8 through Banner 9+. For older versions without REST APIs, we use Banner's database views and ODBC connections to trigger automation. It's not as clean as a modern API, but it works reliably.
The Discovery phase takes 1–2 weeks. The Build phase takes 2–6 weeks depending on complexity. Most institutions have working automation before their next semester start. We've never missed a semester deadline.
Every automation we build includes monitoring, alerting, and a manual fallback. If something breaks, your team gets an alert immediately with a clear description of what failed and what to do. We also provide 30-day post-launch support and optional ongoing monitoring.
No. We use Make.com and n8n — visual workflow tools that your team can understand and modify without writing code. We provide full documentation and a training session. The goal is that you own and understand everything we build.
FERPA compliance is built into every automation we design. For sensitive workflows, we recommend self-hosted n8n so student data never leaves your infrastructure. We can also work within your existing data governance policies.
